1. Personal Data Collection

Sibyl does not collect or upload any personally identifiable information (PII). User-inputted dream text is stored locally on the device and never sent to any external server.

2. Analytics and Crash Reporting

Sibyl uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymized usage data and crash reports. These tools may collect non-personal device information (e.g., OS version, device type, session duration) to help improve the app.

3. Dream Processing

Dreams are processed via the OpenAI API to generate interpretations. The dream text is sent securely to the API for processing and is not stored on any server after interpretation is returned. The app does not collect or track these entries.

4. Device Permissions

Sibyl may require internet access for dream interpretation and analytics. No access to contacts, photos, microphone, or location is requested.

5. Local Data Storage

User dreams and interpretations are stored locally using Room Database. The user has full control over this data and may delete individual dreams within the app.

6. In-App Purchases and Ads

The app provides 3 free dream interpretations. Users may also watch rewarded ads to receive up to 2 additional interpretations per day. In addition, users can purchase individual interpretations via in-app purchases. There are no subscriptions.

7. Third-Party Libraries

Sibyl uses standard open-source libraries including Jetpack Compose, Room, Retrofit, OkHttp, Firebase, and Hilt. These libraries are used strictly for app functionality and do not transmit personal data.
